As someone who has always loved vinyl records, getting to be part of a project like this is especially exciting. Buildings like this carry a lot of history, and it’s always rewarding to play a role in bringing them back to life.
This particular building has stood in Oklahoma City for more than 110 years, and projects like this are about more than just renovations—they’re about preserving a piece of the city’s story. While I’ve been told the original record store won’t be returning to the restored space, it’s still incredibly cool to contribute our part to the building’s next chapter.
At Grace Heat & Air, most of our work happens behind the scenes—designing and installing systems that make these spaces comfortable and functional for the people who will use them every day. Being able to do that in a historic OKC landmark makes this project even more meaningful.

The steel crew is getting close to wrapping up their work and is currently installing the final sections of roof decking. Once that’s complete, we’ll be moving into the next phase of the project by setting the roof curbs for the HVAC units.
It’s always exciting to see a project start to reach these milestones. As the structure comes together, it sets the stage for the next steps that will bring the building one step closer to being fully operational.
I'll be posting progress regularly.
